This review may seem like hero worship or misplaced attention to a leader who is already fading into history.  Furthermore, it may seem that recommending a six hundred page book to busy school leaders is foolhardy.  Nonetheless, Steve Jobs is a worthwhile read.

Facebook Can Get You Fired: Legal Guidance for School Administrators and Employees
Can a school administrator insist that a teacher remove pictures she has posted on Facebook showing her drinking beer from a bong on Spring Break?  Is it legal to dismiss a teacher for a Facebook post that states his students are “future convicts”?  To prevent inappropriate sexual relationships between students and teachers, could administrators forbid employees from “friending” students on Facebook?

Coaches Zero in on Behavior
Behavior remains a significant challenge for teachers across the country, according to national surveys. The MetLife Survey of the American Teacher: Past, Present, and Future (2008) found that only half of those responding agreed that they spent the majority of their time teaching as opposed to dealing with discipline or other matters.
